About Anti‑Bullying Committee
The Anti‑Bullying Committee of Delhi Public International School, Majra Sheoraj,
Rewari, is constituted as per CBSE guidelines on prevention of bullying and ragging
in schools to ensure a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
The Committee works to prevent all forms of bullying, including verbal, physical,
emotional, social and cyber‑bullying, and ensures that any reported incident is
addressed promptly, fairly and without fear of retaliation.
Policy
School Anti‑Bullying Policy
Bullying in any form is strictly prohibited within the school premises, school
transport, school‑related online platforms and during all school‑organized
activities.
- No act of bullying, ragging, teasing, harassment, intimidation or exclusion will go unnoticed or unaddressed.
- All students, staff and parents are expected to uphold dignity, respect and kindness towards one another at all times.
- Complaints of bullying will be treated seriously, investigated fairly and handled with due confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Age‑appropriate disciplinary measures and counselling support will be provided to both the victim and the offending student, as per CBSE graded response norms.
Objectives
Objectives of the Committee
- To implement CBSE and NCPCR guidelines on prevention of bullying and cyber‑bullying in school.
- To promote a positive school climate based on mutual respect, empathy and inclusion.
- To create awareness among students, staff and parents about what constitutes bullying and how to prevent it.
- To provide safe, confidential and accessible channels for reporting incidents of bullying by victims and bystanders.
- To ensure timely intervention, counselling and appropriate disciplinary action in confirmed cases of bullying.
- To regularly review school spaces, practices and policies to minimize opportunities for bullying.
Composition

As per CBSE directions, the Committee includes representatives from school
management, teaching and non‑teaching staff, parents, counsellor/doctor and student
leaders/peer educators.

school notice boards, in the diary and on the website, and will be updated every
academic year.
Duties
Roles and Responsibilities
A. Prevention & Awareness
- Develop and periodically review the School Bullying Prevention Plan.
- Organize sensitization programmes, assemblies and workshops for students, staff and parents on bullying and cyber‑bullying.
- Promote peer support, buddy systems and classroom activities that encourage empathy and inclusion.
- Increase vigilance in vulnerable areas such as corridors, playgrounds, washrooms and buses, including use of CCTV where available.
B. Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure multiple channels for reporting incidents (in person, complaint box, email, online forms).
- Record each complaint with date, time, place, persons involved and brief description.
- Maintain confidential records of investigations, actions taken and follow‑up support.
C. Intervention & Graded Response
- Conduct a fair and timely inquiry by listening to the victim, alleged bully and witnesses.
- Provide counselling and emotional support to the affected student(s) and, where required, to the student displaying bullying behaviour.
- Follow a graded disciplinary response such as oral/written warning, detention, suspension, imposition of fine, or expulsion/transfer in extreme cases as per CBSE norms.
- Inform parents/guardians and involve them in behaviour correction and restoration of a safe environment.

How Students and Parents Can Report Bullying
- Inform any trusted teacher, class teacher, counsellor, or directly approach the Principal/Vice‑Principal.
- Submit a written complaint addressed to the Chairperson, Anti‑Bullying Committee.
- Drop a note in the Anti‑Bullying Complaint Box placed at a visible location in school.
- Send an email to: dpisrewari@gmail.com with the subject “Anti‑Bullying Complaint – Confidential”.
- In serious or repeated cases, the school may guide parents to approach appropriate authorities as per law in addition to internal action.
The school encourages all students to be up‑standers, not bystanders, and to report any
bullying they experience or witness so that timely help and intervention can be provided.
