About Grievance Redressal Committee

The Grievance Redressal Committee of Delhi Public International School, Majra Sheoraj, Rewari, has been formed to address genuine grievances of students, parents and staff in a fair, transparent and time‑bound manner, as per CBSE norms and good practices followed by CBSE schools.

The Committee provides a formal mechanism to raise issues related to academics, behaviour, staff conduct, facilities, fees or any other matter concerning the school, and works to resolve them amicably while maintaining a healthy relationship among all stakeholders.

Objectives

Objectives of the Committee

  • To provide a fair and transparent system for redressal of grievances of students, parents and staff.
  • To uphold the dignity of the school by ensuring a harmonious and respectful environment.
  • To encourage stakeholders to express their concerns freely and frankly without fear of victimization.
  • To resolve issues at the earliest possible stage and prevent escalation.
  • To improve school systems, policies and services based on recurring grievances and feedback.
Scope

Scope of Grievances

The Committee may look into grievances related (but not limited) to the following areas:

  • Academic issues – teaching‑learning, evaluation, homework, examinations and classroom environment.
  • Behavioural issues – student‑student, student‑teacher, or staff‑parent interactions, excluding cases covered under POCSO or Anti‑Bullying Committees.
  • Administrative issues – admissions, fees, transport, infrastructure and facilities.
  • General grievances – delays in services, communication gaps, or any other concern affecting stakeholders.

Cases involving child sexual offences or bullying/ragging will be referred to the POCSO Committee or Anti‑Bullying Committee, while the Grievance Redressal Committee coordinates for overall resolution where required.

Composition of Grievance Redressal Committee

The Committee consists of representatives from school management, teaching and non‑teaching staff and parents, under the overall supervision of the Principal.

The composition of the Committee, along with updated names and contact details, will be displayed on the school notice board and website and reviewed every academic session.

Process

Procedure for Lodging and Redressal of Grievances

A. How to Lodge a Grievance
  • Submit a written complaint to the Class Teacher, Grievance Officer or Principal, clearly mentioning name, class/department, contact details and issue.
  • Drop the grievance in the Complaint / Suggestion Box placed at a prominent location in the school, if the complainant prefers not to disclose identity publicly.
  • Send an email to: dpisrewari@gmail.com with the subject “Grievance – Confidential”.
  • Parents and staff may also request a personal meeting with the Principal or Committee member to explain the grievance.
B. Grievance Handling & Timelines
  • The Committee meets periodically (and as needed) to review pending grievances and plan suitable action.
  • Simple issues may be resolved at the Class Teacher/Coordinator level and reported to the Committee; more serious matters are discussed in detail by the Committee.
  • Efforts are made to resolve grievances within a reasonable time frame, typically within 7–15 working days depending on the nature of the complaint.
  • The final responsibility for grievance redressal rests with the Principal/School Management, and decisions are communicated to the complainant.
C. Confidentiality & Non‑Retaliation
  • All grievances are handled with due confidentiality and respect for all parties involved.
  • No student, parent or staff member will be discriminated against or victimized for raising a genuine grievance in good faith.
